Event planning (and later on travel planning) has been a passion I developed at a very young age. It all started when I was 12 years old; I surprised my parents with with a wedding anniversary dinner at home: I draped plastic tablecloths to create an intimate canopy in our living room, cooked their favorite meal, and created a slideshow of our family’s favorite moments. After dinner, I played their wedding song on my boombox to reenact their “first dance.” Watching this moment, my parents dancing under the make-shift disco ball that I created, I knew I had just curated something special. Nearly two decades later, I always come back to this moment as a reminder of my why: why event and travel planning, why LESHINSPIRED.
